Happy New Year to everyone! Jonathan, Katarina and I wish all of you a prosperous year with good health and lots of happiness. We look forward to seeing you in the new year!

Well everyone, we can finally say "Home Sweet Home". After months of waiting for our flooring to arrive, the laminate has finally been installed. Although Home Depot greatly disappointed us, the work that the laminate installer did was fabulous and greatly made up for what Home Depot lacked. We are now excited to show you some pics of our new home. We hope to of course, have you over to actually see our new place first hand. But in the mean time, please have a look at our new place! I'll be posting different rooms over the next few days, but for now, I've posted the den, living room and dining room. Oh and one more thing, the picture above is not our exact townhome, it's the town home two rows down, but exactly the same!
The tenants TV fit perfectly in the corner....
... but my desk fit even better!
Jonathan and I were amazed at how much the previous family could fit into their place!
Jonathan's part of then den...so clean right now! But who knows what it'll be later on. (Just teasing Jonathan).
Larry, our realtor and I going over what needs to be done to this place if we bought it.
This how the place looked when the tenanats moved out of there....
No carpet thanks to Jonathan (who ripped it all out)!
This is the living room now, a bit messy at the moment, but will be cleaner once we're all settled in!
Comfy leather couches, but not in the right area of the home!
Amazing that Jonathan and I were able to look past the clutter!
Looks much bigger now that the couches and stuff was removed.
The dining room in the midst of renovating.
What the dining room looks like now. Amazing what laminate flooring can do huh? We love it!
This past Tuesday, Katarina and I went to her very first swimming lesson. Jacqueline and I both enrolled Elle and Katarina into the Starfish level at the Minoru Aquatic center here in Richmond. Katarina, along with Elle enjoyed the water very much. It was nice to take Katarina to the same place that I went and took swimming lessons as a child. The pool hasn't changed much, so it felt the same as when I was 9 years old. We unfortunately didn't get to take any pictures because my mom doesn't know how to work the camera, and my sister was off at school. But maybe one of these days we'll be able to get some good pics. So stay tuned for more pics of Katarina and her chubby self in the bathing suit she got from Grandpa.
I'm trying to do the front stroke, can't you tell?
Yes I know that Halloween has already come and gone, but I thought that I'd post these pics up of our adventures to the pumpkin patch. Well more pictures of us posing near the pumpkin patch. We decided to go on the weekend right before Halloween, it was fun for us and Katarina to go on a hay ride and sing along to the tunes. I'm trying to get her into singing :-) Unfortunately, because we picked a date so close to Halloween, there weren't any "nice" pumpkins in the actual patch, just mushed up ones. So to no avail we were disappointed, until the Pumpkin Princess waved her magic wand and gave all of us gigantic pumpkins. We ended up with 5 pumpkins, one for each of the adults. Jonathan and I took two home and my sister and Tyler took the other three. My sister drew the stencils and we carved away. Those who came to our door were impressed. I like to think that we did a good job! Jonathan and I had a good time handing out candy to the kids in our neighboorhood. I think that Jonathan was weirded out at the beginning because he was the "Dad" handing out candy, but he soon enjoyed it! It was cute to see all the costumes out there!
Open wide Katarina!
What is this stuff you're giving me?
Hmm... not bad so far...
Yummy, yummy, yummy, I got love in my tummy!
My Mommy and me just lounging on the new carpet!
See, I'm so flexible that I can take my feet and lick my toes! (Well Mommy was too late to take the photo!)
Nothing like lounging around!
The aftermath of having yucky carrots that my Mommy made!
Carrots not so bad this time around!
Yummy yummy carrots!
