I'm Sitting!

It's been a while since I've written about Katarina and her adventures. She's growing fast, and now she's 21 weeks old, almost at the 5 month mark. She has learned how to sit up on her own for a good 20 seconds or so. At first Jonathan and I thought that she was leaning forward on her tubby belly, but it turns out she wasn't :-) Katarina has been slowly learning how to hold her self up when she begins to fall back or tilt to the side. It's fun watching her. Katarina has also learned how to grab her feet when she's lying on the floor (not fun when you're trying to clean her up during a diaper change!). I think she's figured out that if she grabs her toes, she can easily roll herself to her side like a ball. Soon she'll be a rolly polly like her friends Elle and Hannah.

Look Mommy, no one's holding me!

My Daddy and I playing on a hot day!

Here I am in my lion outfit from Holly (finally something not pink!). Don't I look cute as a little lion? Mommy has taught me how to roar. Watch out because I may scare you!

The Renovations Just Don't Stop

I know most everyone is excited to see pics of Katarina up here, but I thought I'd write a little something about our current home renovations. Jonathan's entire vacation was spent ripping out carpets, painting and sweating. With the help of Rob (Bonita's husband), a lot has been done. We've finished painting all three bedrooms, the living room, dining room, hallway and den. Now we have the task, or more like I have the task of touching up the trim and walls, painting the kitchen and all three bathrooms. How exciting is that going to be? Actually I don't mind, it'll just take a little time. Oh home renovations, what fun! But we're excited to see the finished project. And when it's all done, and we're moved in, we can say "HOME SWEET HOME."
As you can see above,I am actually doing work! After all the work that Jonathan and Rob have done, I figured I should probably do something :-) Maybe I'll lose a few pounds of pre-pregnancy weight!

First layer of paint in our masterbedroom. A nice romantic green.

Katarina's Room, not quite complete but getting there!

Let the Renovations Begin!

Let the Renovations begin! As you all know, Jonathan and I have purchased a new townhome. We are excited to finally have posession of the place, but now we have to do renovations. We started to gut our new home on Friday. Jonathan has never done any "handyman" work before, but I'm amazed at how much work he had done. Before the end of the day, Jonathan and Rob had the carpets ripped out and the walls puttied. As you can see by the pictures, the two guys were mighty tired. Good job you two!
On the Saturday, Jonathan, Rob and I started to do some painting. Boy was that a job to do! Painting the trim isn't easy, but the hardest part of painting was the ceiling, I'm surprised that Jonathan and Rob don't have a sore neck. But that's what Advil is for.

Jonathan hard at work!

We had a lot accomplished in these last few days. Stay tuned for more pics our home renovations. The paint on the walls looks fabulous!

On a side note, Jonathan and I, along with my sister, Tyler, Abby and my Dad, heard the first sounds of laughter from Katarina. Just thinking about it makes us smile!
